HBTLJ's Second Annual Symposium was held
on Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the University of
Houston Law Center. The topic of discussion was: White Collar Crime: Issues in Tax Fraud 2 Hours of CLE Credit· 0.5 Hours of Ethics Credit. Tax fraud in America has been a perennial problem since the inception of the federal income tax in the early twentieth century. From elaborate corporate malfeasance to individual taxpayers simply hoping to avoid taxes, tax fraud has proven to be a dynamic, complex and often morally and legally difficult issue. This year, the Houston Business and Tax Law Journal brings together experts and members of the legal community to look critically at tax fraud during the journal's second annual symposium, White Collar Crime: Issues in Tax Fraud.
